Who we are

Leighinmohr House Hotel is a hotel business with web address at https://leighinmohrhotel.com and a physical address in Ballymena, Northern Ireland.

What personal data we collect and why we collect it

Leighinmohr House Hotel collects personal data in multiple ways, when a user books a room, books a table, signs up to the email list, contacts the hotel, enquirers about hosting an event or buys a voucher.

We use a booking system provided by Avvio. When a user places a booking for a room we collect the user’s dates of stay, first & last name and an email address. If the guest is different to that of the user making the booking, we also require a first & last name and the guest’s email address. We also request that the user provide a purpose for their stay. We gather the purpose of guests stays so we can produce statistics that help us make the customer experience a little better. On the booking page, the user has an option to sign up to the hotel’s newsletter, this is a great way for the user to keep up to date with news at the hotel and the latest offers. All the data collected is used to process a booking with us.

We also require a deposit when booking a room. To process this deposit we require a card number, CVV number and card expiry date. If the cardholder is is not the guest, we require their name and address. Payment processing is handled through Avvio. The hotel never sees nor has access to the users payment details.

Leighinmohr House Hotel uses a booking system provided by ResDiary for users to book a table in the restaurant. When making a booking we require the number of diners, the date and time of dining, the first & last name of the booker, the bookers mobile number, their email address and any special requests the diner wants to submit. The user also has the option to sign up to two different mailing lists being, Clock House Restaurant and Blackrock Hotels Ltd. The data collected enables the restaurant to process a reservation for the restaurant.

When a user signs up to the mailing list we require their email address. This email address is the address that the newsletter is sent to.

When a user enquires about hosting an event or a wedding at Leighinmohr we collect a name, an email address, a subject and a message. This enables us to reply to the user promptly, with the best details to deal with their enquiry.

When a user buys a gift voucher we use Avvio to capture the payment details and issue the voucher. When buying a gift voucher we capture the customer’s first & last name, who the gift voucher is presented to and a message (if the user wants to provide one). When collecting payment for the gift voucher, we require a customer address, email, phone number and delivery address. The user also has an option to sign up to the hotel’s newsletter. This data ensures that we send the gift voucher to the right address, with the correct message.

Avvio uses PayPal to process gift voucher sales. If you have a PayPal account, your username and password are required but if you don’t have an account you will be asked to enter your payment details. PayPal asks for your country, card number, expiry date, CVC, first & last name, address, phone number and your email. You also have the option to create a PayPal account. If you choose this option you will be requested to create a password for your account.
